Most Chihuahua owners do not consider training as part of raising these little dogs. One reason is its cuteness and harmless look. These dogs are known to be aggressive despite their miniature size, and they are hardy too. For their known stubbornness, they should be taught to obey while they are yet puppies.

Why You Should Know How to Train a Chihuahua

Chihuahuas have their own distinct ways. They have developed these traits for hundreds of years that they have been treated as personal pets. While it is good for dogs to be attached to their masters, this can also lead to aggression issues, especially if they are not provided with the necessary training and socializing classes.

Most Chihuahuas do not know that they are small, a large percentage of them act bigger than they actually are. This will put the it at risk for obvious reasons. These little creatures are known to be unfriendly and hostile against other dogs and kids. They easily get excited even with slight commotion.

How to Train a Chihuahua

The Chihuahua is a small dog, but thinks that it’s the one in control of the house. Training a Chihuahua should start by letting it know that you are in control and that you are the leader of the pack. It must take its own place in the house and you, as the leader should establish boundaries for it to observe.

Take control of your Chihuahua’s feeding schedule and let it know that it can only eat at your disposition. This is one way of getting its allegiance.

Exercise it two times per day to prevent it from getting bored. Choose which way to go. Do not allow it to dictate which direction you should take, as this can also trigger its sense of control. Use the leash as a signal that you are its leader.

Again, defining boundaries is very important in keeping your Chihuahua’s behavior in check. You should not allow it to go just about anywhere in your house.

No matter what it does to catch your attention, ignore the Chihuahua as you arrive or depart from your house. Only attend to it when it relaxes.

Impose true alpha leadership when training a Chihuahua. If you will not claim leadership, it will.

Optimizing Mental Stimulation

Chihuahuas are small and they easily get tired, but most of them lack sufficient exercise because their owners don’t give them the chance. Stimulate it mentally by training it to perform basic commands like sit, stay, speak, quiet, fetch and other tricks.

You can train the Chihuahua by eliminating or limiting its chances of challenging your leadership. Avoid getting overwhelmed by its energy and stimulate it mentally by teaching it to perform some basic commands. This will reduce the bad temperament issues of your cute little Chihuahua.

Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte (d. 09 January 1873) was the President of the French Second Republic and as Napoleon III, the ruler of the Second French Empire. He was the nephew and heir of Napoleon I, christened as Charles Louis Napoléon Bonaparte. Elected President by popular vote in 1848, he initiated a coup d’état in 1851, becoming dictator before ascending the throne as Napoleon III on 2 December 1852, the forty-eighth anniversary of Napoleon I’s coronation. He ruled as Emperor of the French until 4 September 1870. He holds the unusual distinction of being both the first titular president and the last monarch of France.

Napoleon III is primarily remembered for several military ventures, including the French participation in the Crimean War, the conquest of Senegal, the Second Opium War, the Cochinchina Campaign, the Second Italian War of Independence, the Franco-Mexican War, the Taiping Rebellion, the 1866 campaign against Korea, the Boshin War, and the Franco-Prussian War. Domestically, Napoleon’s reign was a major period of industrialisation for the French economy. He also oversaw a major renovation of Paris that created the outline of the modern city. The Second French Empire was overthrown three days after Napoleon’s disastrous surrender at the Battle of Sedan in 1870, which resulted in both the proclamation of the French Third Republic and the cession of the territory of Alsace-Lorraine to the newly-formed German Empire.

Adolf Hitler (d. 30 April 1945) was an Austrian-born German politician and the leader of the National Socialist German Workers Party (German: Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, abbreviated NSDAP), commonly known as the Nazi Party. He was Chancellor of Germany from 1933 to 1945 and, after 1934, also head of state as Führer und Reichskanzler, ruling the country as an absolute dictator.

A decorated veteran of World War I, Hitler joined the precursor of the Nazi Party (DAP) in 1919 and became leader of NSDAP in 1921. He attempted a failed coup called the Beer Hall Putsch in Munich in 1923, for which he was imprisoned. Following his imprisonment, in which he wrote his book, Mein Kampf, he gained support by promoting German nationalism, anti-semitism, anti-capitalism, and anti-communism with charismatic oratory and propaganda. He was appointed chancellor in 1933, and quickly transformed the Weimar Republic into the Third Reich, a single-party dictatorship based on the totalitarian and autocratic ideals of national socialism.

Hitler ultimately wanted to establish a New Order of absolute Nazi German hegemony in continental Europe. To achieve this, he pursued a foreign policy with the declared goal of seizing Lebensraum (“living space”) for the Aryan people; directing the resources of the state towards this goal. This included the rearmament of Germany, which culminated in 1939 when the Wehrmacht invaded Poland. In response, the United Kingdom and France declared war against Germany, leading to the outbreak of World War II in Europe.

Within three years, Germany and the Axis powers had occupied most of Europe, and most of Northern Africa, East and Southeast Asia and the Pacific Ocean. However, with the reversal of the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union, the Allies gained the upper hand from 1942 onwards. By 1945, Allied armies had invaded German-held Europe from all sides. Nazi forces engaged in numerous violent acts during the war, including the systematic murder of as many as 17 million civilians, including an estimated six million Jews targeted in the Holocaust and between 500,000 and 1,500,000 Roma, Poles, Soviet civilians, Soviet prisoners of war, people with disabilities, homosexuals, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and other political and religious opponents.

In the final days of the war, during the Battle of Berlin in 1945, Hitler married his long-time mistress Eva Braun and, to avoid capture by Soviet forces less than two days later, the two committed suicide on 30 April 1945.

In 1959, he appeared as police captain Bob Rattigan in the episode “Rattigan and the Cat” of the syndicated Border Patrol television series, starring Richard Webb.
